Located near the harbour, the hotel is an ideal base for exploring the lively Muttrah neighbourhood. the fish market and souk are within easy walking distance, offering a great insight into local culture. Rooms are clean and cozy with beautiful views of the Corniche. Facilities like the rooftop restaurant with polite staff are great for enjoying the sunset.
The hotel should consider improving the Wi-Fi connectivity.

It has an excellent location.
There was no pool, and no internet access, despite signs that there is an internet cafe on site. It also said that there was internet access in public areas, but we could not find any of these places.

Not far from the airport, 30 km. Have a drink at the night bar. Particular good mention to the management...
Nothing.

Perfect for a romantic escape, we loved the stunning mountain views from our room and the convenient location for visiting the local market and trying fresh seafood.
The noise level from the surrounding area, especially during the night, was a bit disturbing. the room was a bit small and lacked some basic amenities like an extra electrical outlet.

If you like to be in a real middle-east city... Close to the seaside, souk and with a good view it is a good destination... But
The breakfast is a desaster -- more ants on the table than foodstuff. The rooms are tiny and on the dirty and chabby side. The price is ok if you expect nothing but the view.

View from the restaurant terrace.
This hotel is infested with cockroaches. Without exaggeration. When the man lifted the hatch to the bar about 30 cockroaches scuttled along the hinge. Worse, they weren't just in the bathroom, which you might expect. I left my suitcase on the bed for a couple of hours. When I returned, there were another 10 or so underneath it. I didn't complain but another time I would book a more expensive hotel and go for the higher quality. It really was bad. Even in the lift I saw one or two.

The hotel offered great value for money, with reasonable prices for drinks and meals. The bar/restaurant on the top floor had fantastic views and the prices were very reasonable. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. Additionally, the staff provided excellent service, with attention to detail and a friendly approach. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, complete with newly fitted bathrooms. The location was also a highlight, situated along the beautiful beaches in a more modern part of the capital.
All was satisfactory and met our expectations.

I moved from the Quorm Beach hotel to here to be closer to the action. This a great location to see the souq, mosques and action of locals at night. You can walk the corniche in a very safe well lit area ( a promenade around the port) a very clean city with very friendly people. Being there at Eid was very busy with many travellers from all over. At the Marina Hotel you are very close to the Sultan's Palace a lot of parks. The Marina Hotel has a great restaurant on the roof called the Penthouse. I ate most of my meals there as I enjoyed the view either sitting inside in the cool ac or outside in the warm breezes. One of the few places that is allowed to sell wine/beer/liquor. I did like the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They were shy, very polite, eagar to please and accommodating. They will not enter your room unless you give them permission to clean it while you are gone. Your room can be booked with or without breakfast.
My room was adequate but my balcony was home to a giant ac and pigeon droppings, so impossible to sit outside. You must ask for a room with a good balcony to sit out and a room on the 3rd or 4th floor, as there are 2 night clubs in the building one on the mezz and one below main level. They stay open till 2 or 3 and are very noisy with Pakistan music/dancers in one and Arabian music/dacers in the other. I did not look in these rooms as it seemed to be only men going in and out...but I was assured I could go in. ( no thanks) In my room on the 4th floor I was not bothered by any music or outside sounds. Also having the nightclubs in the building did not present any problem for the guests. I did not like the fact I had to come to the lobby to use the internet. I think they would bring more business to the restaruant and the customers would be more comfortable to check their emails etc from the table while having a drink and sandwich etc. The decor of the hotel could be updated with fresh flowers instead of fake ones and lighter fabric curtains that would collect less dust. The AC worked well but the TV had few English stations and a lot of no signal stations. It was because they were very busy one dish was broken and it could not be fixed until EID was over. I was assured the problem would be fixed and it is not a usual problem.
